Yellow Rose of Texas Doily

Here is my Yellow Rose of Texas Doily that I ordered from http://www.anniesattic.com/. I finished it in 2 days! I love this thing, it was reasonably easy and is absolutely lovely. I can see this in many other colors!!! I did do a picot edging rather than just the chain stitch it called for and it ended up at 18" instead of 16". The kit contains enough yarn for two of them!!! YEAH.

Between Meal Centerpiece

I love this doily. It is 30" across the middle. The pattern called for #10 thread, but I used some 40+ year old #40 ecru thread of my Grandmothers. She gave it to me with a tablecloth she had started, but lost the pattern for, so I just left the tablecloth as a large doily and used the rest of the thread to make this beauty. It took several weeks of 8 hour days to get it done. It was really a lot of work, but as you can see well worth it! Pattern can be found here... (UPDATED 9/18/10) pattern here ..... https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/between-meal-centerpiece

Uptown Bag from the Happy Yellow House.

Here is my rendition of the Uptown Bag from the Happy Yellow House. I gave it to my daughter becuase it was smaller than I like. She is thrilled, I am not! I will make me a bigger one down the road, but not right now. It is fully lined with a pocket. Very nice bag all in all, just smaller than I like. Pattern is here... http://www.happyyellowhouse.com/htm/uptownbag.html

Crochet Hook Caddy

I love this thing!!! I have 40+ crochet hooks, an afghan hook, 2 pairs of scissors, 6 inch ruler, pkg sewing needles, some straight pins around the edge, a couple big needles around the edge it even has 3 of my chignon pins on it!
I had to make a 2nd one because the other one was too full, so now I will keep the bigger hooks on one and the smaller hooks including the little steel hooks in the other one. Pattern can be found here... http://hometown.aol.com/crochetalong/hookcaddy.html

Pretty Periwinkles Pot Holders

Here is the pot holder pattern I looked for days online only to find out it was in my crochet book collection!!! The pattern is the Pot Holder out of the Kitchen Caddy Set on page 50 of Captivating Crochet from The Needlecraft Shop. Works up quite easily.

Infamous Granny Square Afghan.....

I just got back from sister's and got some pics of the infamous 2 week king size granny square afghan! It is 13 rows long and 11 rows wide. They're not quite 7" squares. What a job it was... just about 2 weeks before her birthday my sister made the comment thats she was really bummed that she never recieved one of the just jumbled mixed up color granny square afghans that mom and gramma used to make.....WOW... so between my job, grandkids and just the holiday's (Thanksgiving and Christmas) coming up ... I got it done! Was up til 3 and 4 in the morning every night, working on it every second I could and then staying up all night long on the eve of her birthday it was delivered by hand the morning of her birthday (11/25)! It was hilarious, my grandson FREAKED out over it and started rolling around on it saying "yarn....yarn...yarn" poor baby is yarn obsessed! Anyway... She loves it, she will NOT put it on her bed, she keeps it on her living room sofa so "everyone can see it there!".

That's a lot of granny squares!!!
